Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Sticker Doctor. They cover how you can use the tool, how plans and billing work, and who is responsible for what. By creating an account or using Sticker Doctor, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Who we are
Sticker Doctor is operated by Sticker Doctor LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. "Sticker Doctor," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Sticker Doctor LLC and its website and web application at sticker.doctor (the "Service"). "You" means the person or business using the Service. You can reach us any time at rick@sticker.doctor.
2. What Sticker Doctor does
Sticker Doctor is a web tool for preparing sticker artwork for print. It removes backgrounds, adds contour cut lines and bleed, and exports print-ready PDF, SVG, and PNG files with named spot colors (CutContour, PerfCutContour, and similar) for use in RIP software such as Roland VersaWorks. The Service is provided as software only — we do not print, cut, or ship physical stickers.
3. Your account
Sticker Doctor uses passwordless sign-in: you enter your email and we send a one-time magic link. Keep access to your email account secure — anyone who can open that inbox can access your Sticker Doctor account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single user or business; don't share your account or resell access to it. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service.
4. Plans and downloads
Sticker Doctor offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current plans and prices are shown on the pricing page and are part of these terms.
- One download = one new design. Your plan's monthly allowance is counted in downloads. Exporting a file for a design you haven't exported before uses one download. Re-downloading the same design — in any format, or after moving it between background removal and cut lines — is always free and never counts again.
- Free tier. The free tier includes a set number of downloads per calendar month (currently three), which reset at the start of each month. Unused downloads don't roll over.
- Paid plans. Paid plans include a larger monthly download allowance that resets on your billing date. Allowances are per account and don't carry over between periods.
We may adjust the tools, limits, and plan structure over time. If we make a material change to what your current plan includes, we'll aim to give reasonable notice.
5. Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each period (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose) at the then-current price for that plan.
- Cancellation. You can cancel any time from your billing settings or by emailing us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Price changes. We may change prices. Changes apply to future billing periods, and we'll give you notice before a change affects you.
- Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes. Where we're required to collect tax, it will be added at checkout.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
6. Your artwork and content
You keep all rights to the artwork and images you upload ("Your Content"), and to the files Sticker Doctor produces from them. We don't claim ownership of your designs.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate the Service — for example, sending an image to our background-removal provider and returning the result to you. How we handle your images is described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you own or have permission to use Your Content, and that processing it through Sticker Doctor won't infringe anyone's rights. You are solely responsible for what you upload and for making sure you have the right to print and sell the resulting stickers.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Sticker Doctor to:
- upload or produce content that infringes intellectual property, or that is unlawful, harmful, or that you don't have the rights to;
- abuse the free tier — for example, creating multiple accounts to avoid download limits;
- resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to others as your own;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our source code, models, or the underlying export engine, except as permitted by law;
- probe, overload, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its infrastructure, or use automated means to place excessive load on it.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, cut-line and export engine, design, and branding — is owned by Sticker Doctor and protected by law. These terms don't transfer any of our intellectual property to you. The output files you create from Your Content are yours to use, sell, and print.
9. Third-party services
Sticker Doctor relies on third-party providers to work, including for payments (Stripe), background removal (PhotoRoom), email (Loops), analytics, hosting, and our database. Your use of the Service also involves those providers as described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for the acts or outages of third parties, though we choose them carefully.
10. Print output — proof before you print
The Service is provided for preparing artwork; you are responsible for verifying that each file is correct for your equipment and workflow. We are not responsible for wasted material, mis-cuts, color shifts, incorrect sizing, or other losses from printing a file without checking it first.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every output will meet your needs or every printer's requirements.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sticker Doctor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, or for the cost of wasted materials or reprints. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you're on the free tier, US $50). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sticker Doctor harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms or the rights of others.
14. Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey for any dispute that isn't resolved informally. We'd always rather sort things out directly first — email us and we'll do our best to make it right.
